OUR CLASES

Our classes can be in online and face-to-face format.

Suzuki Method

Classes are taught by the Suzuki Method of CELLO, VIOLIN, VIOLA and DOUBLE BASS.

All our students receive a weekly individual session, in which more attention is paid to their specific instrumental development.

In addition, all Voluta students receive a collective session where they group together with other child musicians and work on aspects such as collective listening.

The duration of these sessions varies, according to the age and progress rate of each student.

IEM Method

PIANO, MUSICAL LANGUAGE, HARMONY and IMPROVISATION classes are taught by the IEM Methodology.

Creativity is the main axis of the class. We listen to and analyze music to understand how it works, enabling us to enhance our musical expression. Thus, our goal is to talk music, that is, to improvise, compose, and interpret.

VIOLINETS: the first steps.

Violinets is our introduction to the violin for young children at Voluta. Through group sessions based on early musical stimulation, parents and children share activities and space. This experience not only enriches the children but also strengthens bonds through learning the violin.

What instruments do we use?

We use toy violins specially designed to stimulate the instrument’s basic movements. This helps develop their motor skills, laterality, and, most importantly, introduces them to this companion on their journey: the violin.

When and how is Violinets offered?

Violinets is offered once a week. Each class lasts 30 minutes. Parents participate in the class.

MENUT ENSEMBLE: Discovering the orchestra.

Menut Ensemble is the first orchestral experience for children who have already mastered their instruments. We believe it’s very important for our youngest participants to feel a sense of belonging, and this ensemble provides a space where different instruments come together, enriching music practice with one of its most important values: camaraderie.

What do we learn in Menut Ensemble?

Through multi-level instruction (music adapted to each child’s level), we learn to engage with the score and understand that our melody is part of a larger whole. We also learn to listen to our fellow students and the conductor, understanding that this requires learning certain guidelines for orchestral conduct.

When and how is Menut Ensemble taught?

In a weekly 30-minute class. We alternate between classes where parents are present and classes where the children are alone, fostering a sense of responsibility for group behavior.

Youths and adults

Classes are given to young people and adults in CELLO, VIOLIN, VIOLA, PIANO, DOUBLE BASS, CHAMBER MUSIC, HARMONY AND IMPROVISATION and MODERN SONG.

By this generational amalgam, solid links are created between all the members of the school.

Online Classes

As a result of our experience gained providing Online Classes during the COVID-19 pandemic, at Voluta Escola de Música we now also offer online classes.

In this way, we give the option for students from other places to attend classes taught at our school.

We can also adapt the classes of our face-to-face students to online. In this way, at times when their presence is unfeasible, students can maintain a connection with our teachers.
